Sereine ("the App") is a mobile application that provides ambient scenes with audio and video. This policy explains how the App handles your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/DSGVO).
Sereine does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The App does not require an account, and no analytics or tracking services are used.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment information is handled by Apple and is not accessible to us.
We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) as a data processor to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous device identifier to track entitlements. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract — delivering the product you purchased). No personal information is shared with RevenueCat. You can review their privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
The App stores minimal preferences on your device (such as whether you have completed onboarding). This data never leaves your device and is not considered personal data processing.
The App streams audio and video content from content delivery networks. These requests contain your IP address as part of standard internet communication. IP addresses are processed transiently for content delivery and are not logged or stored by us. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in delivering the app's core functionality).
RevenueCat is based in the USA. Data transfers are covered by RevenueCat's adherence to appropriate safeguards under GDPR. Apple processes purchase data under their own privacy terms.
